2025SS THE FIELD TRIP

2025SS THE FIELD TRIP

The weaving shop is located in a quiet area about an hour's drive along the coast from Komatsu Airport.

We arrived a little late, but the guide greeted us with a smile.

When we entered the factory, we saw the warp and weft threads of the "pear skin" series used in our products being woven together.
Several regular sounds of different speeds mix together, creating a unique rhythm that continues without stopping, instantly blocking out all surrounding sounds, like when subway trains pass by.

The pear skin series, a material used in ENOF's 2025 Spring/Summer collection, is a lightweight yet opaque textile made by layering ultra-fine threads multiple times. It is the perfect material for beautiful clothing to wear in the middle of summer.
The president himself said that the current gloss and lightness were the best after many trials.
The word Each piece conveys their passion for their work and confidence in the products they create.

Elsewhere in the factory, under bright lights, female employees quietly inspect newly woven fabric.
The inspection work, which is done visually and manually, is a craftsmanship that can only be performed by those with many years of experience.
When I took the photo, I was also impressed by the woman's slightly embarrassed expression.

Each and every warp thread on the loom must be threaded by hand. This task is mostly carried out by female employees, and I recall the factory manager saying, "I could never do this," referring to the delicate and time-consuming process.

Each product is completed through a number of processes, taking time to complete. In order to realize careful manufacturing without waste, production is carried out in minimum lots.

This trip made me realize once again that we must not forget that it is made possible by the efforts of many people.
